Getting started

Quick setup

After installing Mira, these are the five things worth configuring first. Total time: about 5 minutes.

1. Log channels

Open Settings in the dashboard and pick channels for:

  • Mod log โ€” moderation actions (warns, kicks, bans, mutes)
  • Member log โ€” joins and leaves
  • Audit log โ€” everything else Mira observes

Create three private channels (e.g. #mod-log, #member-log, #audit-log), give Mira and your mod roles read access, then select them in the dashboard.

2. Welcome message

Go to Welcome. Toggle the master switch on in the header, pick a welcome channel, and write your welcome message using placeholders like {user} and {membercount}.

See the Welcome docs for the full list of placeholders and embed options.

3. Verification (highly recommended)

Open Verification. Pick the role granted on verification, the channel where the panel will live, and either Button or Captcha mode. Post the panel.

Make sure your @everyone role can't see your main channels โ€” only the verified role should. This is the single highest-impact anti-raid measure.

4. Anti-nuke

Open Anti-nuke. Flip the master switch on. The defaults are reasonable: 3 channel deletes, 3 role deletes, 5 kicks, or 5 bans within 30 seconds will trigger.

Anti-nuke applies to everyone. If you give someone Administrator and they go rogue, Mira will action them. This includes the server owner โ€” there's no whitelist. Pick a punishment (strip / kick / ban) that matches your trust level for your admin team.

5. Auto-mod templates

Open Auto-mod and click one of the quick-start templates:

  • Block invites โ€” deletes Discord server invite links from non-mods
  • Block external links โ€” blocks all URLs
  • Anti-spam (5 min mute) โ€” auto-mutes rapid spammers
  • Caps blocker (70%) โ€” warns on excessive caps

You're done

Optionally configure: tickets, leveling, suggestions, reaction roles, applications. See the dashboard docs for each page.
